Combined P6 Tamil Language CHIJ Camp
Explore how Primary 6 pupils from six CHIJ schools deepened their appreciation for Tamil culture through hands-on activities, oral presentations, and shared experiences at the 2026 Combined Tamil Language CHIJ Camp.
On 12 March 2026, the Combined Tamil Language CHIJ Camp brought together Primary 6 pupils from six CHIJ schools at CHIJ Toa Payoh Primary for a meaningful and enriching cultural experience. Pupils explored Tamil traditions through a variety of engaging activity stations, such as saree tying, Aadu Puli Aatam (goat and tiger strategy game), and Pallanguzhi (traditional counting game).
Oral presentation segments further strengthened students’ oracy skills, as they shared their learning and experiences from the day. Supported by dedicated teachers and parent volunteers, the camp fostered friendships, built confidence, and deepened students’ appreciation for the Tamil language.
Students left feeling inspired, enriched, and more connected, continuing a cherished CHIJ tradition of cultural learning and shared experiences.
